Apuan Riviera

This area is also famous all over the world for the Carrara Marble: fine white marble handcrafted by local craftsmen used for Michelangelo’s David and the Pietà.

The Pisan Coast
The small coastline of the Pisan Riviera is home to tourist centres that are awarded the blue flag every year: Marina di Pisa, Tirrenia, Marina di Vecchiano and Calambrone. This area has three protected natural areas, the Migliarino Natural Park, San Rossore, Masaciuccoli, the Dune Oasis of Tirrenia and the Cornacchiaia Woods Oasis. The long sandy coast has one of the few unspoilt beaches that enclose a dune ecosystem of rare beauty.
Etruscan Coast

In the middle of Tuscan coast, you will find the Etruscans Riviera: here the Etruscan people founded their only sea town, Populonia. This coastline is characterized by a variety of beaches: rocky and pebble coves, such as Buca delle Fate, or the Gulf of Baratti with its reddish sand.


Further south there is Cala Violina: you can enjoy the sea but first you have to cross the nature reserve to reach the beach.

Maremma
This blue treasure of the Tuscan coast offers a variety of beaches to relax at the sea: fine sand, hidden coves, Monte Argentario, nature parks and marine reserves. From the Gulf of Follonica to Porto Ercole, from the headlands to the coast, a holiday on the coast of Maremma is an opportunity to discover and live in contact with nature.
Tuscan Archipelago

The Tuscan Archipelago is a jewel located in the Tyrrhenian Sea and according to legend was born from a necklace that the Roman goddess Venus lost in the Tyrrhenian Sea. This protected area is the largest marine park in Europe and includes the islands: Gorgona, Capraia, Elba, Pianosa, Giglio, Montecristo, Giannutri.


Each island is different but in common they have crystal clear sea and lots of vegetation.
