This island has been famous for centuries for working with blown glass, this tradition has been handed down from father to son since the 13th century. Today about 5000 inhabitants of Murano still work with glass, creating true art works. Between the streets of the centre, you can see how the glass is processed in the glass factories of the craftsmen!
